Overview

A web application for collecting reliable digital evidence directly from a smartphone, tablet or computer, while guaranteeing its integrity and admissibility for legal use. With each submission, the user can send up to 20 photos or a video of 30 seconds maximum to a Commissaire de Justice (a French judicial officer, formerly known as huissier de justice), with every file automatically geolocated by GPS, timestamped and anchored on the Tezos blockchain to guarantee its immutability. The file collected through SmartPreuve is instantly transmitted to a partner Commissaire de Justice, who issues within 24 hours a certificate of submission that constitutes prima facie evidence admissible in court. Because the capture is performed directly within the web application, there is no possibility of prior photo manipulation, which reinforces the reliability of the evidence. Since October 2022, SmartPreuve has operated exclusively as a web application accessible from the browser, with no need to download anything from the Apple or Google app stores. The service starts at 7.50 euros excl. VAT for a one-off submission of 1 to 5 photos and offers subscriptions for professionals at 29 euros excl. VAT per month or 290 euros excl. VAT per year for unlimited submissions. SmartPreuve addresses evidence needs across many contexts: property disputes, insurance claims, construction site monitoring, neighbour disputes, defects and various forms of damage. The evidence is stored on a secure server in Europe. Founder Alexis Deborde has positioned SmartPreuve as a tool for democratising access to legal evidence.

A browser-first approach that makes collecting legal evidence accessible to everyone, with no installation required
