Mes-droits.fr

Information portal on the social and legal rights of French citizens

Information portal on the social and legal rights of French citizens, designed to centralize access to the resources people need to understand and assert their rights. The platform is part of the ecosystem of public and private digital tools that make French law more accessible, alongside mesdroitssociaux.gouv.fr (the government portal launched by the Direction de la Securite Sociale with partners such as the CAF, the CPAM, the MSA and Pole emploi) and mes-aides.gouv.fr. The site offers plain-language information on the main social benefits and the administrative steps required to obtain them. Its goal is to combat the non-take-up of social benefits, a phenomenon affecting millions of French people every year who fail to claim the support they are entitled to. Mes-droits.fr directs users toward the government simulators and the relevant agencies for their procedures. The government portal mesdroitssociaux.gouv.fr, to which Mes-droits.fr connects, lets users access a unified view of their entitlements via FranceConnect, covering health, family, retirement, employment, social solidarity and housing. The non-take-up of social benefits is a major public-policy issue: according to estimates, between 30% and 40% of potential RSA beneficiaries do not claim it, and one third of people eligible for the complementaire sante solidaire (CSS) do not apply for it. Portals such as Mes-droits.fr help close this gap by simplifying access to information. The portal is aimed at people experiencing financial hardship as well as employees or retirees who want to make sure they are receiving all the support they are entitled to.
